What exactly does the scanner check?
It checks the website and the business’s Google listing. On the site it looks at mobile speed, the tags search engines read, structured data, security headers, the cookie notice and which contact channels it can detect on the pages it visits. From the Google listing it reads the rating, the number of reviews and whether opening hours are published. From all of that it calculates a score out of 100 across six dimensions.
Is it really free? Do I have to sign up?
It is free and there is no signup. You paste the address and the analysis appears on screen. Your email is only asked for if you want the PDF report, and it is not required to see the result.
How long does it take?
Between thirty seconds and a minute, depending on how fast the analysed site responds. There is no queue and nobody reviews it by hand: the system does it there and then.
Does it work on any website?
It works on any public website that responds from outside. What it cannot analyse is pages behind a password, intranets, or sites that block automated systems. If the business has no website yet, there is a separate form to describe it and get a recommendation.
What happens to my website’s data?
It analyses information that is already public: what anyone can see by visiting the site and looking at the Google listing. Nothing private is accessed and no credentials are needed. If you leave your email for the PDF, it is used to send you that report.
